Toni has 23 years’ experience in local and central government and the private sector. Originally trained as an urban planner, Toni’s career has spanned strategic land use planning, climate change policy development, and research to inform the building and construction industry in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Middle East.
Currently a Director at Planalytics, a research consultancy based in Wairarapa, Toni works with a wide range of clients. This includes district and city councils, Local Government New Zealand, the Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ), Kāinga Ora, and charities active in the urban and community development sectors. Toni is a strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach, complemented by an eye for detail and a flair for relationship-building.
Toni has a Bachelors degree in Resource and Environmental Planning from Massey University and a Masters degree in Development and Emergency Practice from Oxford Brookes University (United Kingdom). She is a current Board member of PrefabNZ and a member of the New Zealand Planning Institute, National Association of Women in Construction, Community Housing Aotearoa, PrefaNZ, United Nations Association of NZ, Council for International Development NZ, and the Institute of Directors.
